This sweet couple flew in from New York City to tie the knot at the Orange County Clerk of Courts in Orlando, and brought nothing but joy, energy, and love to every part of their day. They planned a simple courthouse ceremony, followed by a Disney celebration — and entrusted me to capture it all candidly, without the stress.

A Busy Courthouse Day with Big Heart

The Orange County Courthouse was bustling the morning of their ceremony. We chatted, laughed, and waited together as names were called over the speaker. Kalifa + Naquan were so laid-back and friendly, and you could feel their excitement bubbling up as we waited to be called into the ceremony room.

Once inside, they exchanged vows in a short but emotional ceremony — full of quiet glances, hand squeezes, and the kind of happiness that needs no words.

Creating Magic Outside the Courthouse

After the ceremony, we stepped outside and turned the city surroundings into our canvas.

We started with portraits on the courthouse steps, then moved to the rooftop parking garage for modern, open-air shots with that signature downtown skyline feel. From there, we found a corner with lush greenery that looked nothing like a courthouse — giving us beautiful, natural images that felt like we were somewhere else entirely.

One of my favorite moments? Shooting in front of the US courthouse signage, where bold typography met soft light — and where Kalifa and Naquan’s personality really shone through.

From Vows to Disney

With their official “I do” sealed, the couple changed into Disney gear and headed off to celebrate at the parks. It was the perfect mix of romance and fun — intimate yet unforgettable.
